CARLA STOLTE, PRESIDENT
Born on Christmas Day with the world full of music, Carla Stolte likes to say she was singing before she could talk. Music has been a constant thread throughout her life - as a singer, educator, and arts leader. For more than 20 years, she has taught music to thousands of students and nurtured a deep belief in the power of choral singing to build connection and community. As a performer, Carla has sung with a range of ensembles, including Elektra, ChandraTala and Chronos Vocal Ensemble, and is in her third year of singing with Da Camera - experiences that continue to shape her love of contemporary choral music and artistic excellence. She currently serves as Board President of Da Camera, where she brings together her musical roots and her professional expertise in governance and engagement. Carla is a mother of three adult children, an avid rock climber and cyclist, and a maker of all things beautiful. Whether she’s building community through music, exploring the outdoors, or creating with her hands, she is guided by curiosity and a deep appreciation for craft -in art, in leadership, and in life. |

MARIA ROSVICK, RECORDING SECRETARY
2024 marks Maria's sixth season with Da Camera Singers. She has had a blast singing in the alto section, working on the 60th Anniversary Committee, organizing the choir's online silent auction, and acted as Zoom coordinator amidst the constant changes of the Covid-19 pandemic. She has trained under several vocal instructors in many styles, including contemporary, musical theatre, classical art song, and opera. Besides singing in Da Camera, she also plays her French horn in local orchestras and musical theatre pit bands (when she isn't on stage instead). Maria works as a wind instrument repair technician at St John's Music Edmonton, as well as math tutoring on the side. She is very excited to be on the DCS board this year! |

ALTO LO, VICE PRESIDENT Contrary to what would be expected, Alto’s parents had no specific musical aspirations for their son when they named him. However, over time, they realized Alto’s interest and passion in music and enrolled him in piano lessons at age 10. Firmly an amateur musician, Alto has nevertheless continued to grow and seek out new musical experiences. His background in music includes many years of piano lessons at the Alberta Conservatory of Music (formerly known as Alberta College) and participation in multiple choirs including University of Alberta Concert Choir, University of Alberta Jazz Choir, Form Vocal Ensemble, Calgary Philharmonic Chorus and Symphony Nova Scotia Chorus. He has been a member of Da Camera Singers since 2011. He has previously served as a board member with Da Camera Singers and welcomes the opportunity to contribute further this year as the Vice President. |
